Hello, it's me, Leon Zong! I'm currently working on getting my Bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester. I've only got a year to go!
I'm mainly interested in using computers in the life sciences. I'm not sure whether that means doing data science, bioinformatics, computational biology, systems biology, computer science, or something else I haven't heard of yet, but I am sure I'll figure it out someday.
Right now, I'm doing linguistics research with the FACTS.lab on a project involving the isiZulu language. My role is mostly developing language and other models to assist in data analysis and collection. I'm learning about training language models, probabilistic modeling, and more!
I've written some papers for classes. I've had a few internships, and I also have some random projects. In the future, I will finish them, and start more.
I also like to make music! I play the violin and saxophone. I like jazz. Here are some videos. I'd like to compose music too, but I'm not that creative.
I'm not much of a web designer, but I liked Tom 7's website so I shamelessy copied his design. He also makes really cool stuff. Check him out! The moons on the top of this page are from the Kingdom of Loathing. It has a great artstyle, and it's very funny. Check it out!
